HAAAA! SUMMER

Yess... Ngayon lang ako nakapag-blog ulit guys... Hah... Obviously.

Nabigatan ako sa load ko last summer. I now understand why there are only six units required for us to take during the summer semester. Tkte... Perteh! Nag-nine units pa ako. Harder to breathe, harder to cope up with lots of requirements.

I already received my grades. I could have done better.

Anyway, Illumina gave me a surprise birthday party last Apr. 28, 2007 sa Shakey's-Katipunan. Surprise sana, kaso nabisto ko kaagad. Haha... Pero, salamat pa rin Illumina!

When I was around 6 or 7 years old, Ate Cel (my yaya) and I were talking what it would be like when I'll celebrate my 18th birthday. Back then I didn't have any idea about the whatevers of having a debut. In fact, I didn't even know how to spell debut during that time.

She said that I would have a very big celebration in our house or in a 5-star hotel in Davao city. She added that I would have a very gorgeous gown, and my parents would be so proud of me. Lahat ng Bangkal imbitado! Lahat ng Pasia imbitado! Lahat ng Pureza imbitado! Lahat! Lahaaat!

I really really looked forward into having that kind of celebration...

And now, I'm 18. Debut ko na.

And where's the celebration? Haha... Simpleng simba na lang... Actually, I'm just going to visit the chapel here in school. Apparently I still have 2 group works to do at 2pm and at 3pm. As you get older, you tend to be more conscious of how you spend money. At since krisis ngayon, tipid muna.

I'm just going to make this a simple celebration... And I'm just going to keep it to myself.

BUHAY NG WALANG INTERNET

Perteh. Wala akong internet connection sa dorm. Pinutulan ako ni Elaine. Sa May na siguro ako magpapakabit sabay ng paglipat ko ng room sa 1C.

Naku, ang dami ng mga nangyari for the past weeks. Hindi ko kayang pagisa-isahin ang lahat ng mga ito ngayon kasi nasa internet cafe ako. Plus, nagtitipid pa ako.

Hala tama, magb-birthday na pala ako.
Tiguwang na jud. 18 na ako eh!

Limang tulog na lang! 18 na ako! (sa april 28 mga tao... don't forget to greet me!!)

At eto, gagawa ako ng wishlist (na alam ko namang di effective at di ibibigay sa akin ng mga tao because I tried it before pero parang wala naman talaga akong nakuhang ganoon from them.) para sa nalalapit kong kaarawan:

- Microsoft Vista ('yung Ultimate ha.) dapat original
- Ibigay niyo sa akin 'yung laptop ng Pare ko. or better, bigyan niyo ako ng Laptop (Compaq/HP or Apple only)
- Bagong muscles sa shoulders at near my vertebrae. Sumasakit eh. I need a massage!!!
- Condo. Dapat suite ha... Plus, malapit sa AdMU.
- Membership fee for the Moro Gym.
- Trip to Boracay!
- Trip around the World!
- Ticket every break papuntang Davao at pabalik ng Manila!
- Pamaypay ng maganda. Sobrang init kasi dito sa Manila.
- Fitness gloves... :P
- Chux. Converse na shoes. Dapat black or denim 'yung dating para masaya.

- Surprise Party... Ginagawa ko kasi 'yan sa mga friends ko. Sana ako rin gawan nila... (nagpaparinig ba?)

OF WOUNDS AND SCARS

People have scars. In all sorts of unexpected places. Like secret roadmaps of their personal histories. Diagrams of all their old wounds. Most of our wounds heal, leaving nothing behind but a scar. But some of them don't. Some wounds we carry with us everywhere and though the cut's long gone, the pain still lingers.

What's worse, new wounds which are so horribly painful or old wounds that should've healed years ago and never did? Maybe our old wounds teach us something. They remind us where we've been and what we've overcome. They teach us lessons about what to avoid in the future. That's what we like to think. But that's not the way it is, is it? Some things we just have to learn over and over and over again.

Yes, I bought a new cell phone.

And yes, I bought a Globe sim pack.

And yes, nasira na 'yung goal kong maging Smart subscriber forever. Apparently that thing doesn't totally work well for me nowadays. Sobrang napapamahal yung gastos ko sa katetext ng mga kaklase ko dahil halos lahat sila Globe. Kaya naman, nag-ipon ako para makabili ng bagong cellphone na Globe.

And tarrraah! Ayan, bagong cell phone. Binili namin nina Mara and Nicole sa Sta. Lucia kahapon ng hapon.

PERO, active smart subscriber pa rin naman ako. At di yan magbabago.

Haaay naku... two weeks na lang, tapos na ang sem!

And I have four papers more to go : 2 for english, 1 for fil, 1 for lit. I really hope I would be able to finish them on time. I believe I can. Oo! Kaya ko ito.

May math long test pa kami sa wednesday! Haaay naku... Differential equations. Nagfi-feeling Math major na ako. Haha! I love math. Nyahh..

Oo nga pala, I'm planning to transfer to another room here in Dormitoryana (Hopefully kasama ko na sina Niña at kapatid niya). Aalis na kasi si Ate Mian. Pupunta na siya ng Canada.

I've been crying for the past few days. Ngayon ko lang narealize na mas ok pala kung nilalabas mo kaysa iniipon mo lang sa loob mo.

Haay buhay... I've never been so hopeful in my entire life (i do keep on repeating this statement). Kaya naman, I will try and try, even though I fail. And I'll try harder and harder each time I fall.

Dahil gusto ko... I'll do everything just for this to be done.

I was typing out my Physics lab here in the RSF when Mare texted me.

Goodness! Nahampas ko sa likuran si Niña (who happened to be my partner in Physics lab. Actually siya nga yung partner ko sa lahat ng mga subjects na may pair work.) sa sobrang tuwa at excitement! GOODNESS! MAGKAKAROON NA KAMI ULIT NG ASO!!!

Oh yeah beybeh! And now, it's going to be a poodle. A black poodle. Black being luxurious and elegant. Ang arte pa naman ng poodle!

Oh yeah!!!

Naku. Kaya ngayon, nag-iisip na ako ng name. Ayoko nga ng Borgy. Borgy kasi yung aso namin when I was still 5 years old. Akala namin lalaki then one day bigla na lang nanganak ng mga 8 pups. Perteh. Pinamigay nga namin yung kanyang mga anak eh. Kaya ngayon, halos lahat ng mga asong gumagala sa Aster street ng Flores Village eh malamang kamag-anak ni Borgy.

Iniisip ko nga na papangalanin ko yung medyo makalumang name tulad ng Fernando, Maximo (Max?), Reginald, etc.. Minsan iniisip ko na medyo cute na lang na pangalan... Natandaan ko na naman si Pipo... :(

Perteh. So... name? Pangalan ng aso.

POODy nalang siguro. Wahaha.

It's been such a long time since I've posted an entry here in my blog. Ang corny... Ayoko na munang mag-English. Perteh.

Alam niyo naman sigurong napakabusy ko in the past month (HELL MONTH GRABEH!). Ibang-iba na talaga sa college, grabeh. Alam kong inulit-ulit ko na 'tong ni-rant dito sa blog ko, kaso hindi talaga matutumbasan ng kahit ano mang salita ang nararamdaman namin ngayon ng aking mga kaibigan when it comes to schoolworks.

Pero, nagkaroon din naman ako ng mga moments kasama ang aking mga kaibigan.

Isheshare ko nga pala! Dumaan kami last January sa may Edsa Walk ng Ateneo. Nakita kong naka-post ito sa may bulletin board doon:

Perteh! Nakakaoverwhelm na at the same time, nakakahiya. Ginawa ko ito for our Intact (Introduction to Ateneo Culture and Tradition) class. Gawa raw kami ng poster looking for a person with a "burning yes." Perteh. Nakokornihan ako sa gawa ko. It's just amazing that some people think that this is indeed, a work of art---worthy of exhibiting sa may Edsa Walk pa talaga ng Ateneo! Natawa lang ako noong nakita ko ito. Ayoko pa ngang picturan ito sa simula... Kaso sinabi ni Niña na picturan ko na lang daw kasi minsan lang ito mangyari. Sabagay, minsan nga lang.

Ayon! Nakakapagpataba ng puso... Hypertrophy to the highest level!

Katip night-out namin last Monday. After eating in BentoBox, dumiretso kami sa Cello's doughnuts. Cello's serves the best doughnuts in Katipunan. Ayoko ng Krispy Kreme... Sobrang tamis eh--mahal pa!

Ang saya pala kung malapit na ang Vday sa Cellos. Kung customer ka doon, pwede kang mag-post ng sangkatutak na mga messages sa mga heart-shaped cartolinas at pwede mong ipost sa kanilang mga dingding.

Valentines day... este, Singles' awareness day pala!

Imbis na lumabas with friends, nag-aral kami ng mga blockmates ko buong gabi hanggang mga 11:30pm for our Math (CALCULUS BEYBEH!) long test. Saklap namang tumayming si Ms. Tulao! Ginawa pang after vday 'yung 3rd long test! PERTEH! So, kinancel ko na lang ang mga appointments ko--with Bex at Cia--na mga ka-date ko sana noong gabing 'yon.

So, ganito ang nangyari, naging mga ka-date ko noong Feb14 eh apat na lalaki, isang babae, at mga antiderivatives (ang nerd, grabeh). Kaso, medyo na-late ng konti 'yung babae kaya naman masasabi nating naging ka-date ko yung apat na lalaki at antiderivatives. Perteh. Nagdinner kami sa McDo (na naman!) at ayon.. Nag-aral.

Nakakatuwang makasama ang apat na lalaking iyon. Ang iingay nila and at the same time, nakakatuwa. Nakikipag-compete with each other... Basta, nakakatuwa.

The next day, Math long test na nga.

Perteh. Feeling ko magiging cancellable ko yung exam na iyon. Hanep! ANG HIRAP kasi eh.

MADALING ARAW BLUES...

It's exactly 2:03am when I started to type this entry, and silence runs the morning air. Everyone else here is sleeping, except me. Buti na lang walang pasok bukas (President's Day! Yey!).

Kakatapos ko lang magbulay-bulay tungkol sa mga photocopying machines. I just finished writing my reflection paper for Pinoy due on Tuesday (Yey! Swak sa schedule).

I haven't been myself lately. Maybe it's because of all that stress that I've been fed up with during this hell month. Nakakainis dahil hindi ko gaanong naoorganize ang mga thoughts ko lately--and it worries me because I need to function well enough for my Physics long test (which was delayed) and Lit Orals (Poetry...) on Wednesday. I need to become a good essay critic on Thursday for our workshop in Pinoy, plus I need to seek the researcher lurking in the recesses of my brain for I need her on Friday for my panel defense in English. Argumentative Research paper pa talaga (pwede ba itong marecommend sa Pisay na bagong branch ng research?)! My topic is about post-coital contraception--'yung means of contraception after having sexual intercourse--especially focused on the use of the Morning-after pill.

Tama na. Rest ka muna Gem... Hinay-hinay lang Ineng...

Matutulog na ako. Mahaba-habang araw pa bukas.

PASALUBONG FEST

Akala ko hindi ako makakapunta, ngunit sa awa at gabay ng Diyos, nakapunta rin ako.

What: PASALUBONG FESTIVAL
When: January 6, 2007
Where: KALAYAAN RESIDENCE HALL, UP-DILIMAN, QC.

Sa wakas at nagkitakita kaming muli ng Illumina. Bawat region ng Pilipinas ay maghahandog ng kanilang specialty sa mga bisita ng festival. For example, ang mga kalai residents na galing region 11 ay maghahandog ng DUrian at Pomelo sa sangkatauhan. Kasama sina Lec, Cia, Rae, Hubs, at iba pang mga Illumina, inikot namin ang lahat ng booth ng bawat region at kumain ng specialty nila.

Ang saya-saya. Nagkita muli kami ng mga kaibigan ko. Anj, nandito ako lagi para sa iyo. Tandaan mo 'yan, aking kaibigan! Ang sarap ng dayok. Hahaha!

PAPUTOK BEYBEH

What: WORLD PYRO OLYMPICS 2007
When: January 5, 2007, 8-11pm
Where: SM Mall of Asia, Pasay City

Biglaan lang naman ang lahat ng mga pangyayari kagabi. Inimbita ako ni Ciara na pumunta sa pyro olympics. Sumama naman ako, ngunit di ko inakala na sobrang tagal at nakakapagod 'yung biyahe patungong MOA at pabalik dito sa dorm ko.

So ayun, pumunta kami ng Kalai nina Bex at Cia para makipagkita kay Jason. Sabay-sabay kaming tatlong sumakay ng jeep patungong Taft to meet up with Hubs and Jacques. Sa loob ng MRT, tila nahilo ako sa napakaanghit na amoy na nanggagaling sa isang mama na nasa tabi ko. Sobrang anghit ng amoy ng kilikili niya. Nalanghap din yata ni Bex yung tilang nakakamatay na amoy. Buti na lamang at naroon pa sa bag ko ang lollipop na binigay sa akin ni Niña. Pagkarating sa Taft station, tila sinusupsop ko ng walang hanggan ang lollipop na iyon. Akala ko mahihimatay na ako sa sobrang sangsang ng amoy na iyon.

Nabulok kami sa kahihintay ng jeep/taxi/bus sa may Taft avenue patungong MOA. After 48 years, nakasakay na rin kami nina Bex at Hubs ng taxi. Sumunod din sina Cia, Jac, at Jay sa amin. Nakikita na namin ang napakagandang fireworks display ng Pyro Olympics habang nasa taxi pa kami. Dahil sa sobrang excitement, bumaba na kami nina Hubs at Bex sa may daan (na sobrang malayo pa sa MOA) upang mahagilap ang napakagandang fireworks display.

Ang ganda talaga. As in, sobra.



Ngunit, biglang nag-end ang show.

Nagtanong kami sa guard ng McDonalds kung kelan ulit magreresume ang fireworks display. Sabi ng guard na iyon, tapos na raw.

PERTEH. 9PM pa lang!!! TINAHAK PA NAMIN ANG 0128093172847kilometers para lang makahagilap ng 5 mins worth of fireworks display! And to think, hindi pa kami nagdidinner!!!

Namumula na ang mata ni Bex sa gutom. Kaya, kumain nalang kami.

Napagdesisyonan naming kumain na lamang sa Rai Rai Ken. Kumain kami doon ng mga isa at kalahating oras dahil honestly, sobrang bagal ng service doon. Sa sobrang kabaitan ni Jason, nasikmura pa niyang magbigay ng tip na worth 20 pesos.

10:30 na. Paglabas ng Rai Rai KEn, nakarinig ako ng mga paputok na nagpuputukan.

OMG!!! MERON PANG FIREWORKS DISPLAY!!! (perteh na guard ng McDO!)

So sumugod kami sa waiting area ng MOA. At ayun, nakita namin ang tilang 20 minutes worth of beautiful and astounding fireworks display. Eto ang excerpt: 10 minutes... Pasensya na kung mabagal mag-load.

So worthwile pala talaga ang adventure namin. Nakauwi na ako ng bahay ng mga around 1:10am after that bus ride. Sobrang traffic plus, ang layo pa ng Pasay sa QC!

Pero at least, I had fun being with my friends (Bex, Cia, Jay, Hubs, Jak). Ang Saya-Sayaa!!!

After 48 years, nakakita na naman ako ng fireworks, live!

Carelessness had always been my problem since birth.

Perteh. I was thisclose to getting it.

If only I looked at the given C A R E F U L L Y.

But then, I haven't. And I didn't even N-O-T-I-C-E it when I was reviewing. I had been too smug about it--inexcusable!

And then look what this attitude has got me into: a pit of absolute anxiety and regrets.

Nervousness during exams had been my problem too.

I just couldn't seem to distinguish t^3 from t^2. PERTEH. I'm just sososooo blinded by the fact that I could really do well in the test. I know I can, but this feeling of complacency that I can do it well seems to (and it does, really) be the one that drags me down.

Perteh... I could've done better.

Lesson learned. At dapat matuto na talaga ako ngayon. Di na pwede itong paulit-ulit na pagkakamali. Carelessness at its PEAK! It's going to be unforgivable if I'm going to fall for this crap again.

Kapag ang tubig ay matining,

You may never know for sure how deep it goes until you drown yourself into it. So don't you dare touch it nor try to swim on it if you don't want yourself to get into trouble--because it is indeed very possible for you to even die because of it.

No matter how calm and peaceful tranquil water may seem to be, it's still water--and no matter how good you swim, you can still drown in it.

So don't play with it if you're not capable enough.

Keep that in mind.

December 15 'yon. Sabi sa'kin ni Bex, 12 noon magsisimula. Hanggang 11:30 lang ang class ko last friday.

Dinismiss kami ni Ma'am Tulao ng mga around 11:20. KAso, hindi ako nakaalis kaagad. Pinabura pa kasi sa'kin ni ma'am 'yung mga nakasulat sa board. Perteh. Then, traffic pa pagsakay namin ng trike.

So, naisipan naming sumakay ng taxi.

Luckily, nakasakay kami. Mga around 11:45 na 'yon. Traffic. Perteh.

Binaba kami ng taxi sa opposite side ng Palma hall ng UP. As in, sa other side ng Sunken Garden. Mga 11:55 na 'yon.

Halfway papuntang Palma Hall, nagtext sa'kin si Bex:

"Dan, nagsimula na..."

Perteh.

Binilisan namin 'yung paglalakad.

Malapit na kami sa Palma Hall. Biglang nagtext si Bex:

"Tapos na..."

Badtrip. Pero may susunod pa namang taon. And I'll make it sure na next year, nasa FRONT ROW TALAGA AKO.

Kaya naman, ginugulo ako ng pangyayaring 'yon. Nakaka-overwhelm lang 'yung feeling na narealize ng isang all-time champ ng arnis na may potential akong maging magaling sa arnis. Goodness... Sobrang saya ng feeling. At the same time, nakakaconfuse.

Hala! I'm officially a nerd.

I'm currently stuck in the dorm because of this seemingly unending physics and math problem sets. I still have to read (and reread) chapters 1 to 5 for my upcoming physics long test on wednesday. I must practice solving problems harder because I'll have a math (calc) long test on thursday.


Ha...

But still, I have to give an update of the events that occurred recently.

Yes. We we're able to attend the Skechers Street Dance Competition. Kasama ko sina Bex, Jacques, Tal, Migs, KBo, CJ, Ate Reys, and the other UPDil people. I happened to sit on the UP area (kasi naman ang layo ng Ateneo plus wala akong kakilala sa mga Atenista na nandoon). I cheered for CADs ( i love ateneo), Xavier High (haaai...), and UP StreetDancers.

Without a doubt, nanalo ang UP Street. Xavier ang nanalo sa high school level. Sayang ang AdMU. Kulang kasi ang performance nila eh--maganda pero kulang.

As usual, we have our Katip night-out every monday. For the past two weeks, we went to Pizza Hut and Bubble Gang Toppings. Ok lang naman ang mga pagkain doon. Ang bilis ng pagseserve ng food ng Pizza Hut (surprising, diba?)

Holiday ngayon, kaya wala ring pasok. Kaya't heto ako ngayon, nakakulong sa loob ng Dormitoryana.

I did my best in solving the problem set for physics. Argh. Perteh. Hindi ko masolve-solve! I need to exert MORE EFFORT on this. Apparently, the people who are good in physics are busy with their own homeworks. Ayoko silang gambalain ng mga sarili kong problema. It has dawned on me that I must really solve this ON MY OWN. Haah. Perteh. Physics pa talaga. Help.ME.LORD.

Our Fil prof gave us a homework last tuesday, to be submitted next tuesday. It's a one-page essay with the theme "anong sasabihin ng isang pusa sa isang maulan na araw?" Perteh. What the heck would a cat say to the rainy day? Perteh naman oh... Kung pwede lang sana maging pilosopo, isang salita lamang ang maaring sabihin ng pusa sa isang maulan na araw:

"Meow"

I must finish this homework before midnight. As of now, I must indulge myself with physics problems. thhhhh... Tapos noon, magma-math ako.
